What this module offers you?

The ever-increasing need for alternatives to synthetic pesticides means knowledge of biological solutions and a holistic approach to plant health is more important than ever. This module will give learners a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of making integrated pest management programmes work, with a focus on biological control of the main pests encountered in horticulture and agriculture. We also present the role of technology in IPM and emerging threats to crop health.

What will you take away?

Upon completion, learners will fully understand the concept of IPM and be fully prepared to implement biological control programmes against the most damaging insect and mite pests encountered in horticulture and agriculture. This module is ideal for growers and agronomists moving towards integrated pest management as well as product developers, plant scientists, entomologists and farm owners/managers.
